New Years day

Breakfast was Japanese - although Liv did try cornflakes with raspberry syrup. This is Lucy's beautifully arranged tray. We were obviously hungry.

After the obligatory exploration of Asakusa and temple visit and wafting of smoke onto our ailments in the hope for a cure - we went to a different little part of Tokyo and visited an old cemetery, and then an interesting old street. The afternoon involved a visit to Akhibara and a visit to Don Quijote - home of AKB48 a girl band with 48 girls in it! we didn't see them but Liv did purchase a onesie ....

Being New Years day we also saw lots of ladies in kimonos, little girls in kimonos - and yes, even dogs in kimonos: 

Planning tomorrow's adventures - Rob appears worried every time we walk past a shop ....and he is trying to teach me photography - so a bit of experimenting going on with the cameras
